PRSA Central Ohio COMMITTEEs
Are you interested in taking your involvement in PRSA to the next level? PRSA Central Ohio is always looking for committee members to assist in the coordination of events and activities for the chapter. Serving the chapter is a terrific opportunity to continue your commitment to the profession and support the growth of the industry in the central Ohio area. We welcome volunteers throughout the year; there are a variety of committees to fit your interests and availability.

ACCREDITATION (APR)
Accreditation Committee facilitates the Chapter’s APR certification process by monitoring approved candidates, providing a preparatory study course and executing readiness reviews as requested. The Accreditation Committee works with other committees to publicize newly accredited members and assists with PRSA’s Accreditation Maintenance Program.
AWARDS
Awards Committee organizes and promotes participation in the Chapter’s annual awards program. It manages timeline, award criteria, judging (and reciprocal judging of another Chapter’s entries), production, and post‑mortem.
DEVELOPMENT
Development Committee coordinates prospecting, proposals, benefits fulfillment, and stewardship; meets regularly to track pipeline and deadlines. Committee partners with other committees to align sponsor deliverables with event timelines and assets.
DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee collaborates with other committees to integrate DEI into plans and deliverables, including hosting an annual event or related conference session. The committee creates additional opportunities (webinars, blogs, resources) to support diverse groups and other practitioners.
MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS
Marketing & Communications Committee coordinates the Chapter’s marketing and communication efforts, serves as a resource for all other Chapter committees and works to enhance the brand image of PRSA. The committee maintains the content calendar, platform policies, and supports other committees.
MASTERS ENGAGEMENT
Masters Committee plans senior‑level programming and collaborates with other committees for promotion.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership Committee manages pipelines, outreach, onboarding, and retention tasks; maintains lists and monthly reporting to the board. The committee coordinates closely with other committees to align offerings with member needs. Serves as a liaison between the Chapter/member and PRSA headquarters to resolve issues.
PROGRAMS
Programs Committee plans and executes programming. Committee tasks include topic development, speaker sourcing, logistics, run‑of‑show, day‑of staffing, thank‑you notes, and post‑event surveys.
STUDENT & NEW PROFESSIONAL ENGAGEMENT
Student & New Professionals Committee plans programs and initiatives to support students and new professionals. Committee maintains advisor and student leader lists, collaborates with Membership Committee on associate conversions, and shares monthly updates.
