It’s an exciting time for our chapter as three local companies were recently recognized with 2012 Bronze Anvil Awards and Sue Jablonski, senior vice president and chief marketing officer for OhioHealth, was chosen as the 2012 Frank J. Weaver Lifetime Achievement Award from the PRSA Health Academy.

For more than 40 years, PRSA has celebrated the best in public relations tactics, the individual items or components that contribute to the success of a campaign, through its Bronze Anvil Awards. Three Central Ohio PRSA chapter members, Fahlgren Mortine, Huntington Bank and MediaSource, received this prestigious award this year.

Fahlgren Mortine received a Bronze Anvil Award of Commendation in the category of research/evaluation for Scentsy Wickless and it’s “Understanding the Accelerating Scentsy’s Growth: The Cultural Social Program.” They also receive a Bronze Anvil in the media relations, business-to-business category for Crown Equipment and “The Crown of Forklift Industry Discussion.”

Huntington Bank took home a Bronze Anvil Award of Commendation in the media relations, consumer services, financial services category for its “50 Years of Savings’ campaign.

MediaSource was honored with a Bronze Anvil in the video news release category for its “American Society of Plastic Surgeons Male Plastic Surgery VNA.”

During the 2012 PRSA Health Academy in Philadelphia, Sue Jablonski was awarded the Frank J. Weaver Lifetime Achievement Award. This award annually recognizes an individual who, during the course of his or her lifetime, made outstanding contributions to the field of health care public relations and changed the practice of public relations in America.

Congratulations to all of these award winners and thank you for showing the nation some of the innovative, fresh and inspiring work that is happening in central Ohio.
